The Role

Our Energy & Utilities Consulting group is looking for a Consulting Manager to join our journey. The title on the client side is Product Owner.

We're looking for a Consulting Manager who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consulting Manager (which is a Manager level position) this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues. In addition to enabling consulting excellence through the Five Pillars of Consulting, the specific requirements for this position are below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the product backlog for ADMS integrations, customer outage notifications, and related operational tooling.
  • Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies: daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Translate business requirements and operational needs into clear and actionable user stories, technical acceptance criteria, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with distribution operations, network control centers, IT teams, and vendors to design end-to-end outage notification solutions (SMS, email, IVR, web).
  • Ensure reliable data exchange between OMS/ADMS, GIS, CRM, and communication platforms.
  • Define and monitor performance metrics for outage notifications, including delivery rates, latency, Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) accuracy, and customer engagement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reports to assess outage communication effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze historical outage and notification data to support continuous improvement and regulatory reporting.
  • Drive root cause analysis when notification failures or delays occur, and work with development teams to implement fixes.
  • Partner with QA and business stakeholders to validate system behavior and outcomes during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Act as a data-informed decision maker, using insights to guide roadmap priorities and stakeholder discussions.

Required Qualifications:

* 7+ Years relevant experience, Energy & Utilities industry preferred

* Technical Fluency to participate in architecture and design related discussions

* Ability to weigh trade-offs of different implementation approaches with technical and business teams

Required Education: Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Computer Science, or Management degree strongly preferred

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until June 9 th , 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,450.00 - $129,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
