Job Details

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
  2. Assess and monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
  3. Complete necessary documentation based on policies, procedures, and standards set by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation.
  4. Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
  5. Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar policies and training.
  6. Ensure reliable availability to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics KPIs, based on employment agreements.
  7. Communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to meet scheduling and treatment timelines.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to coordinate appointments and drug delivery.
  9. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to maintain professional standards.
  10. Participate in specialized client-related training as required.
  11. Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations and Innomar.
  12. Work collaboratively within the healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation to RPN/LPN as authorized.
  13. Travel within designated IBUs to meet operational needs.
  14. Follow all nursing and clinic SOPs and Work Instructions.
  15. Follow all provincial Health and Safety standards.
  16. Complete ongoing and annual education training within required timeframes.
  17. Perform other duties as required by Innomar.
  18. May be on standby/on call to meet service needs.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  1. Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  2. 1 year of IV initiation experience.
  3. Current registration with licensing body; CPR certification.
  4. Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or home care settings.
  5. ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA certifications, and experience with central venous lines/ports are assets.
  6. Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other applicable computer programs.
  7. Access to internet connection and a cell phone for appointments and communication.
  8. Excellent customer service, communication skills, and ability to work autonomously and travel within the geographical area.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
  2. Business and financial acumen is an asset.
  3. Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  5. Valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver’s license and insurance coverage.

The successful candidate may have daily contact with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
