A 0.6 FTE - Dakelh Language - Limited Duration Contract Teacher is required by School District No. 57 (Prince George) effective September 1, 2025, but not to extend beyond June 30, 2026. The assignment will be at Indigenous Education. Applicants with assessment and trauma-informed practice experience are preferred. School District No.57 resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nations, McLeod Lake Indian Band, and the Simpcw First Nations.
Geographically, we expand from Mackenzie, through Prince George, to McBride and Valemount. We serve 41 schools: 32 Elementary schools, 8 Secondary schools, and 1 District Learning Support center for alternative and alternate learning opportunities.
We provide educational programs for approximately 15,000 students, including early learning, after-school art and sports programming, trades programs, and dual credit programs with our local post-secondary schools.
We support Lheidli T’enneh students, McLeod Lake students, and Takla students living on reserve through our Local Education Agreements, co-constructing educational services for students attending schools within our district.
