Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Analyst will:
Ensure the accurate and timely internal and external reporting of the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group, the Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health, the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research, the Royal Ottawa Volunteer Association, and Atlas financial results.
Provide support to the general ledger system.
Provide financial program support to Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents.
Completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for external funders.
Completion and/or oversight over the internal monthly financial statements for ROHCG organizations.
Completion and/or oversight over the annual audited financial statements for ROHCG organizations.
Perform reconciliations for various accounts monthly.
Preparation of monthly General Journal entries.
Assist in year-end audit.
Support the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets while working with all levels of management to develop accurate revenue and expenditure budgets in conjunction with the Director Finance and Supply Chain and Manager Finance.
Provide support to various managers, directors, and Vice Presidents as the subject matter expert on financial transactions.
Maintenance of the general ledger reports.
Follow up on client, staff, internal, and external inquiries in a timely manner.
Work with staff to improve processes and find efficiencies.
Preparation of the annual audit file.
Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies, and procedures of the ROHC.
Ensure a work environment that is conducive to the ROHCG Respectful Workplace Policy.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Finance required.
CPA Designation required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a computerized accounting environment.
Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel).
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality.

English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
