Air Borealis, a unique entity in Canadian aviation, offers scheduled and charter services to Northern and Coastal Labrador using both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. It is a collaborative partnership between the Innu Development Limited Partnership, Nunatsiavut Group of Companies, and PAL Airlines. The company operates 12 destinations within Labrador, including Nain, Hopedale, Postville, Makkovik, Rigolet, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Black Tickle, Cartwright, Charlottetown, Mary's Harbour, Port Hope Simpson, and St. Lewis. It also provides charter services to fishing camps, the Torngat Mountains National Park, and other locations, supporting wildlife surveys and community programs.

The base location is in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL. We are seeking a General Manager with extensive experience overseeing large, complex operations, capable of motivating aviation professionals, and skilled in engaging with community and business leaders in Labrador. The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator, able to influence stakeholders, and committed to continuous improvement. Leadership qualities such as integrity, professionalism, and results-driven motivation are essential. Aviation industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, budgets, and strategic planning to maximize revenue and performance.
• Ensure financial performance and process optimization.
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure excellent service and operational excellence.
• Manage projects from inception to completion.
• Lead the development of new business strategies and partnerships.
• Provide leadership to teams in Business Development, Sales, Charter, and Commercial Operations.
• Represent Air Borealis at industry events and build relationships.
• Report progress to the executive team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of aviation experience in airline or airport settings (asset).
• 7+ years of leadership and operations management experience.
