Job description

Security and Work Location: The successful candidate will work in Canadian Critical National Infrastructure and/or classified environments, requiring Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency. A Canadian Government SECRET Level clearance is preferred or must be obtainable. The role is based in Kanata, Ontario, Canada.

Team and Role Overview: Join the Cisco Canada Customer Experience (CX) organization, specifically the Canadian Secure Technical Services (CSTS) team, providing technical support to government and public sector customers. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and Cisco partners to build trusted relationships and support cutting-edge Internet technologies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert troubleshooting for Cisco network solutions, including SD-Access, Catalyst Center, and SD-WAN.
  • Support customers during critical issues, aiming for high satisfaction through effective problem resolution.
  • Handle complex problems requiring detailed analysis.
  • Lead resolution efforts and contribute to a technical knowledge base.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Canadian Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Canadian Government Security Clearance.
  • Expertise in Cisco SD-Access, Catalyst Center, and Cisco Catalyst 9k platform.
  • Experience with IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.) and layer 2 switching protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in collaborative troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent with 8+ years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English and French.
  • Experience with incident management and sophisticated technical support.
  • Knowledge of Cisco routing platforms and security solutions (ISE, Trustsec).
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and certifications like CCNP or CCIE is a plus.
