About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a casual Bylaw Services Officer based in Lake Country, BC.
Reporting to the Manager of Building and Bylaw, the Bylaw Services Officer is responsible for receiving public inquiries and complaints, research bylaws and Provincial Legislation, inspect property, issue warnings and municipal tickets, assist in the administration of business licenses, prepare correspondence and reports and make recommendations on enforcement of municipal bylaws.

More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of two years’ work experience in bylaw position. Additionally, one year post-secondary in a related field, Bylaw Enforcement, and Investigative Skills Levels 1 and 2.
As our ideal candidate, you have a strong knowledge of the bylaws, policies and other legislation involving land use, traffic and nuisance matters. In addition, you have a strong ability in dealing with public inquiries including tactfully handling difficult situations.
Above all, we value a collaborative attitude and exceptional communication skills and fostering positive working relationships with staff.
