Job description

In this senior role you will work closely with the business and several key areas of the organization to champion middleware initiatives. You have thorough knowledge of middleware and hands-on experience working with TIBCO.

Key Accountabilities
  • Analysis and Design of software solutions within the IS Integration and Development related to middleware development.
  • Technical management of development for the core middleware components.
  • Assigns individual employees and external resources to specific projects/assignments, balancing the needs of the individual with the needs of the organization.
  • Works closely and communicates effectively with the IT Professional Services group to help ensure the delivery of environments and resources required for projects, the successful implementation of projects, and effective support for installed applications.
  • Works with the other IT managers to ensure interoperability.
  • Ensures group adherence to defined problem escalation procedures.
  • Provide technical/business leadership to Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Programmer Analysts, Application Analysts and Database Analysts.

Technical Skills

6-10 years experience in the following skills:

  • TIBCO Technologies (Rendezvous, Hawk, Business Works, Adaptors, etc.)
  • HTTPS/SSL
  • PGP Encryption
  • Object Oriented Design and Analysis using UML
  • RDBMS (Oracle 9i or higher)
  • UNIX (Sun Solaris OS)
  • SQL and PLSQL
  • Java/J2EE
  • XML, XSLT
  • Test Director, ANT, NetBeans, Eclipse
  • Weblogic Application Server and TomCat Container Server

Qualifications:

  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills with solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Skills in gathering information about business needs and requirements.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and decision-making.
  • Ability to take direction and follow through on projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT disciplines.
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field.
  • Five years of system support experience in a large production environment.
  • Experience in business systems and assets.
