Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US. We are currently hiring for a Business Strategy Lead - M&A for our global IT M&A client in the Mississauga area. This role involves designing and launching strategy programs in the AI space that will impact day-to-day business.

$130,000 - $140,000 as base depending on experience + bonus + benefits + other perks. OTEs are about 160-180k total compensation.

Job Description
What You'll Do:

You will collaborate with senior leadership, managing projects such as:

  • Market Assessment and Analysis: Conduct industry research, market analysis, and sizing to address business challenges, evaluate M&A targets, and support growth.
  • Value Creation and Transformation: Develop strategies to improve business performance, working with senior management on projects like Pricing, Go-to-Market, and Change Management.
  • Innovation and Applied AI: Drive innovation by developing frameworks and prototypes where AI can reinvent processes and business models.
  • Reporting and Dashboarding: Create reports and dashboards to provide insights for decision-making.

This role offers engagement across strategic planning and execution within a global B2B software context, working closely with leadership to drive growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis independently to recommend strategies.
  • Synthesize insights from data to inform decisions.
  • Develop and present reusable data assets to promote thought leadership.
  • Partner with leaders on strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with Finance, M&A, and portfolio teams for research.
  • Identify growth opportunities and foster innovation.
  • Handle special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, philosophy, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar roles, with AI/software industry experience a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and data insight skills.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred), Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of business financials and operations.
  • Ability to build relationships at the executive level.
  • Skilled in trend synthesis and presentation.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, self-motivated.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and creative problem-solver.
  • Adaptable, flexible, willing to travel (<20%).
