We are seeking an e-CAD Librarian to develop and maintain comprehensive CAD libraries, including schematic symbols, layout footprints, and metadata. You will be a part of our talented technical team and play a key role in maintaining efficiency and accuracy with our CAD libraries.

Responsibilities:
  • Create library parts, schematic symbols, and layout footprints as needed by design projects.
  • Maintain CAD parts libraries, including schematic symbols, physical footprints, and part metadata.
  • Manage part obsolescence and EOL in libraries and project builds.
  • Establish and maintain electrical and mechanical parts bill of materials within Arena PLM.
  • Review and ensure all parts conform to IPC, manufacturer, and company standards.
  • Assist with component selection, screening, qualification, and derating.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of experience with Cadence CIS and Allegro PCB design or as a PCB librarian.
  • Experience with Altium, Mentor Xpedition, or PADS and asset management.
  • Working knowledge of IPC Specifications and PCB technologies.
  • Experience working with and maintaining component database management tools.
  • Good understanding of high-speed PCB design for embedded systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and have working knowledge of electronics principles and basic circuit operation.
  • Experience with electrical design including component/part selection.
  • Ability to read and understand part specifications, package information, and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with library management, design release process, product lifecycle management practices, and Arena PLM.
