Job description

Ralls ISD is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Girls' Basketball Coach with a secondary core teaching position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the girls’ basketball program, developing student-athletes both on and off the court, and fulfilling teaching responsibilities in a core subject area. This individual should be committed to fostering a positive and competitive environment while upholding the values and mission of our school district.

Teaching Responsibilities :

• Plan and deliver engaging instruction in a secondary core subject area (e.g., Math, Science, English, Social Studies).
• Create a positive classroom environment that supports student learning and achievement.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies and curriculum standards.

Coaching Responsibilities :

• Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of the girls’ basketball program, including practices, games, and offseason workouts.
• Develop athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Implement effective game strategies and conditioning programs.
• Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.
• Monitor academic progress and promote student success in the classroom.
• Ensure compliance with district, conference, and state athletic regulations.
• Foster a culture of respect, discipline, and personal growth.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid [State] Teaching Certification in a secondary core subject.
• Coaching experience at the high school level (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to student-athlete academic success and character development.
