Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Sort, collect, and deliver mail items safely and promptly.
  2. Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles.
  3. Ensure mail is securely handled and delivered.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Process CPC products and services such as Change of Address, Damaged Mail, and Items Delivered Bill (IDB).
  • Wear visible Canada Post identification during delivery and collection.
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg.
  • Operate a motor vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions.
Qualifications

Mandatory Vehicle Requirements:

  • Safe driving record.
  • Valid provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G.
  • Minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters).
  • Automatic transmission, power windows, and a metal roof-top with accessory power outlet.
  • Middle of passenger window sill between 38” and 45” from the ground; maximum interior width of 56”.
  • Preferred: Fifth door/hatchback for oversized items.
  • Provide and maintain automobile liability insurance; notify your insurer of employment with Canada Post.
