What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Security Analyst who will help defend SurveyMonkey’s products against misuse. You will become a subject matter expert in our product abuse trends and use this knowledge to advocate for solutions and predict outcomes with new feature development.

  • Monitor fraud-related alerts, assess root cause and risk, report key performance metrics, and make data-driven recommendations
  • Stay ahead of the curve by identifying emerging fraud and abuse trends, investigating new abuse vectors, and recommending effective solutions
  • Take ownership of content review workflows and optimization, including overseeing updates to internal tools
  • Collaborate with machine learning and data science teams to identify opportunities to improve models or predictions
  • Partner on policy updates, evolve policy execution and participate in wider policy implementation and maintenance across privacy and security teams
  • Participate in threat modeling sessions to identify potential abuse-related concerns before product launches
  • Manage incident response as needed on a rotational, on-call basis

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 2-4 years of Trust & Safety or fraud-related experience working in SaaS or a related industry
  • Familiarity with platform abuse-related issues and mitigations
  • Strong orientation toward problem-solving and decision-making in an open and collaborative environment that will benefit the organization as a whole
  • Ability to evaluate abusive content and take action without close supervision
  • Ability to respond to occasional event escalations during non-business hours
