Job description

Position Summary... Working as a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. The Consumables Associate is a customer service champion that contributes to the high-volume, fast-paced flow of merchandise from the backroom to the salesfloor. This Associate will function as part of a team to stock and process merchandise and assist customers with their shopping needs, all in a safe and clean environment. If you are looking for an exciting job in customer service or retail, working as a Consumables Associate may be a great fit for you!

What you'll do...
  1. Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
  2. Assist customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions.
  3. Resolve customer issues and refer concerns to management where appropriate.
  4. Maintain salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up and maintaining product displays, signing and pricing merchandise.
  5. Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, identify high shrink items and maintain a safe work environment as per Company policies and procedures.
  6. Receive and stock merchandise, utilize equipment appropriately, administer required paperwork, logs and other documentation.
  7. Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
  8. Stock merchandise/picks, downstocks if applicable, apply product protection when required, set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and set new shelf caps.
