Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant role will have the following key duties and responsibilities:
Assist with leading and managing the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
Assist and prepare year-end working papers and supporting schedules to facilitate the auditing process.
Assist with daily treasury and cash flow forecasting.
Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as assigned by management.
Assist with the preparation of HST/QST and other compliance, tax, and corporate filings.
Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
Minimum Qualification, Skills, and Key Competencies Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of accounting experience.
Extensive experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.
Exceptional analytical skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
