Job description

Investigative Journalist for Dog Owner Experiences in Canada

5-5 hours/ weekly

6 months

Paction is looking for an investigative journalist with a passion for storytelling, a sharp eye for detail, and a deep curiosity about the realities of dog ownership. You’ll uncover and report on the real-life experiences of dog owners—both the joys and the challenges—to help potential pet parents make informed decisions. You will be expected to identify dog owners and conduct in-depth research and interviews with them. Then write compelling, well-sourced stories that offer insights, highlight trends, and expose lesser-known challenges.

Paction is a platform to educate prospective dog owners on making informed decisions on pup ownership BEFORE they commit to a dog. Once a dog owner is ready, Paction matches prospective dog owners to reputable breeders across Canada. The position is flexible, but meeting touchpoints with the Paction team will be Wednesday evenings.

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?

This is a perfect opportunity for those looking to gain more experience in the journalism or digital marketing fields. Our investigative journalist will be featured on Paction's site. You'll get to work on meaningful stories that impact pet owners and animal welfare. Paction offers references and further career support as well.
