Position Summary

To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines and lead Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.

What You'll Do

1. Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
2. Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and adherence to store standards within Company policies. Implement new store programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
3. Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews; ensure compliance with Walmart policies and safety procedures. Address compliance issues proactively.
4. Serve Customers as a store ambassador by greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving issues within Company guidelines to create a positive shopping experience. Model and enforce friendly and helpful customer service approaches.
5. Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in events, developing relationships with community groups, and supporting company-sponsored programs and sustainability efforts.
6. Lead Associates by conducting regular meetings, communicating operational initiatives, and focusing on OMNI and Total Store strategies. Drive engagement, recognize accomplishments, and provide opportunities for professional growth. Develop associates and identify high-potential individuals for training and development.
7. Demonstrate Company values by providing timely, honest, and respectful performance feedback and corrective actions. Build relationships with supporting functions like District HR Managers.
8. Ensure compliance with all Company standards and procedures, including handling merchandise such as alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items. Manage cash controls, handling up to $250,000 daily.
