CR-04 = $57,217 to $61,761 / CR-05 = $62,533 to $67,699 / AS-01 = $61,786 to $69,106

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff temporary and / or permanent positions, (including acting appointments and deployments).

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

CR-04 and CR-05 Positions :

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer- approved alternatives.

AS-01 Positions :

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone, in writing or in person.

Experience in using spreadsheet and word processing software.

Experience in coordinating administrative activities such as : meetings and taking minutes, teleconferences, videoconferences, scheduling travel arrangements, incoming and outgoing correspondence, data entry, filing, preparing, editing and verifying correspondence and reports.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in providing human resources support services

Experience in providing administrative support services in the health field

Experience with information management systems (financial, human resources management, etc.)

Experience in coordinating administrative activities in the office of a senior manager or executive

Experience in providing administrative support services in the field of program management

Experience maintaining and updating a Human Resources Management Information System (e.g. HRMIS, PeopleSoft).

Experience providing financial support services (services may include, but are not limited to, verifying and correcting financial claims, controlling and monitoring petty cash, preparing financial status reports, etc.).

Experience maintaining a law enforcement database such as : Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), Police Information Retrieval Systems (PIRS), Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS), Automated Criminal Intelligence Information System (ACIIS), National Criminal Data Bank (NCDB), Evidence and Reports III (E&R III).

Experience providing administrative support in a police environment

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Bilingual Imperative : BBB / BBB, CBC / CBC, CCC / CCC, BBC / BBC; if no candidate meets this requirement, the position may be staffed on a non-imperative basis. Non-bilingual candidates are therefore encouraged to submit their applications.

This position requires proficiency in both official languages, English and French, at the above-noted level. If you do not meet the language requirements of this position and the appointment is being made on a non-imperative basis, you will be exempted by the Public Service Official Languages Exclusion Approval Order from meeting the official language proficiency requirements at the time of an appointment. By accepting an offer, you agree to undertake to attain the level of official language proficiency required for the position, through language training at public expense, within a period of two years. If you do not attain the level of language proficiency required by the end of the two-year period, you agree to be appointed or deployed on an indeterminate basis to a position for which you meet the essential qualifications that is of a similar level and salary as the bilingual position.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - RCMP Enhanced Reliability, Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
