Job description

Assembly / Rack Fabrication Technician

Crown is seeking an Assembly / Rack Fabrication Technician. We are looking for candidates interested in full-time or part-time opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, and perform testing procedures, including creating radio communication racks and managing shipments of various rack configurations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project accuracy and timely shipment schedules to clients.
  • Handle both mechanical hardware and electronic assembly, including movement and storage, with repetitive heavy lifting involved.
  • Assist in manufacturing major radio racks at the Ontario facility, including assembling subcomponents.
  • Prepare Test Box enclosures, cable assemblies with connectors, perform drilling, soldering, testing, and wiring of MDF.
Location and Schedule

This position is on-site in Ontario, California, working Monday to Thursday, from 6 AM to 4 PM.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and at least one (1) year of mechanical and electrical assembly experience.
  • Understanding of minor electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read assembly diagrams.
  • Experience with tools such as drill press, rivet machine, band saw, pliers, cutters, vice grips, soldering iron, terminating hand tool, heat gun, screwdrivers, and wire strippers.
  • Ability to test wire assemblies using documentation and continuity verification equipment, and perform quality checks.
  • Capability to handle racks weighing + lbs and lift equipment weighing lbs.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required.
