Location: Wonderbrands Regina

Job Type: Part Time (Saturday and/or Sunday availability, some short weekday shifts)
Wage: Based on experience. $2.00/hour shift premium details.

Job Role: Service and maintain all plant equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Provide technical support to production operators throughout the plant.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components.
  • Operate tools such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of equipment.
  • Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand/power tools and welding equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability.
  • Complete Work Orders according to PM and CM schedules.
  • Comply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Ticketed or Apprenticeship Level (3-4) in the Millwright Trade.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high speed manufacturing environment (Food manufacturing is highly preferred).
  • High aptitude with Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems (Required).
  • Proven track record working with Lathes, Milling Machines and Welding Equipment (ARC, TIG, MIG).
  • Above average problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook).
  • Focuses on continuous self-improvement.
