Position: Manager, The Bridge

Location: Belleville, Ontario

Position Summary:

The Manager, The Bridge reports to the Director and plays a key role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring service coordination, and supporting frontline staff in the delivery of integrated care and social services. The Manager provides operational leadership, program coordination, and administrative oversight for The Bridge. Working closely with partner organizations and frontline staff, this role ensures efficient service delivery, scheduling oversight, and adherence to anti-stigma and trauma-informed care principles. The Manager serves as a key liaison between program staff and the Director, supporting both operational needs and long-term program goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in social services, community development, public administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in program coordination, operations management, or frontline service delivery in a community-based setting.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use.
  • Familiarity with anti-stigma practices, trauma-informed care, and low-barrier service models.
  • Experience in staff supervision, scheduling, and team leadership.
  • Experience overseeing diverse teams, including clinical, security, and operations staff.
  • Strong understanding of integrated care models, community-based health and social services, and system navigation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving client and operational needs.
  • Knowledge of crisis response and intervention strategies.
  • Experience managing staff and providing mentorship, support, and performance feedback.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with partner organizations, staff, and clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including government representatives, funders, and community organizations.
  • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to foster a supportive work environment.
  • Strong ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and computer skills, including database and client management systems.
  • Ability to remain current with program-related IT developments and use digital tools effectively for program management.
  • Experience using client management systems and digital tools for service coordination.
  • Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License and have regular access to a reliable vehicle and provide proof of adequate vehicle insurance.
  • Required to provide a satisfactory criminal reference check (CRC) and Vulnerable Sector prior to hire.
