Responsibilities:
Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, and works to improve the structure and efficiency of an organization’s IT systems.
The IT & I&T Consultant may provide strategic guidance regarding Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures, and enabling major business processes through IT enhancements.
Provides subject matter expertise and highly expert technical assistance in their field.
General Skills:
- Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of specific deliverables.
- Provides quality assurance/quality control for specific deliverables.
- Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure deliverables are completed within budget, with high quality, and meet or exceed expectations.
- Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables.
- Prepares reports and presentations including options, recommendations, and implementation plans.
- Works with clients to define project scope and requirements.
- Defines software, hardware, and network requirements.
- Analyzes IT requirements, providing independent and objective advice on the use of IT.
- Designs, tests, installs, and monitors new systems; develops solutions and implements new systems.
- Familiar with change management principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
Requirements:
Technical Knowledge and Experience:
- Hands-on experience in large-scale Oracle data masking and subsetting projects for masking copies of production data.
- Experience with Oracle Data Masking and Subsetting Pack using OEM.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle databases.
- Expertise in best practices for implementing data masking in enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of Oracle Database 19c, including architecture, features, and performance optimization on Exadata platforms.
- Experience with Oracle Exadata, EBS, WebLogic, ASM/RAC, Siebel is advantageous.
- Understanding of audit requirements and how data masking addresses data privacy and security audit findings.
Methodology, Testing, and Troubleshooting:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; strong verbal and written communication; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Ability to provide user and system documentation.
- Contributes to risk and issue management related to solution design.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, architects, project managers, and QA.
- Promotes industry standards and best practices.
- Performs thorough code reviews, including unit tests, ensuring high software quality.
- Supports defect fixing and assists developers, testers, and end users.
Planning, Documentation, and Communication:
- Prepares work plans with managers, reports and adjusts completion status, reports issues and risks promptly.
- Writes technical documentation explaining architecture.
- Delivers knowledge transfer sessions to the team.
Must-have:
- Hands-on experience in large-scale Oracle data masking and subsetting projects.
- Experience with Oracle Data Masking and Subsetting Pack using OEM.
- Expertise in best practices for enterprise data masking implementation.
