Responsibilities

Tasks:

  1. Arrange and co-ordinate seminars, conferences, etc.
  2. Assist with staff consultation and grievance procedures
  3. Coordinate the activities of the HR department in order to ensure they meet the organization’s goals
  4. Coordinate the flow of information within the team
  5. Direct and control daily operations
  6. Direct staff
  7. Evaluate daily operations
  8. Motivate staff
  9. Open and distribute mail and other materials
  10. Plan and control budget and expenditures
  11. Plan and organize daily operations
  12. Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations
  13. Supervise other workers
  14. Train staff
  15. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  16. Train other workers
  17. Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences
  18. Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  19. Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
  20. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  21. Schedule and confirm appointments
  22. Manage contracts
  23. Manage training and development strategies
  24. Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  25. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  26. Answer electronic enquiries
  27. Oversee development of communication strategies
  28. Compile data, statistics and other information
  29. Oversee the preparation of reports
  30. Advise senior management
  31. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  32. Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  33. Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
  34. Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
  35. Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  36. Oversee payroll administration
  37. Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  38. Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
  39. Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  40. Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
