Position Summary

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is someone passionate about working in collaborative and innovative mental health settings and enjoys treating complex psychiatric presentations. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to contribute to specialized clinical programming and medical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Manage follow-up care including medication reviews and coordination with allied health professionals
  • Participate in case reviews and inte-rprofessional team consultations
  • Optional involvement in program development, supervision, or educational initiatives
  • Support clients within our outpatient clinic and, optionally, our inpatient treatment program

Qualifications

  • Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
  • Specialty training in Psychiatry from a recognized jurisdiction (e.g., UK, Ireland, South Africa)
  • Eligibility or certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or currently in ST6 training.
  • Membership or eligibility with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Experience or interest in trauma, addictions, and treatment-resistant psychiatric care
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada (or willingness to pursue this with support)

Compensation

This is a fee-for-service position with a revenue split to cover overhead and administrative support. Envision provides a fully staffed support team, including reception, billing, scheduling, and EMR systems, allowing physicians to focus on patient care.

Estimated earning capabilities : ~ $450,000 - $600,000+ CAD. Exact earnings depend on caseload and availability.
