A leading educational institution in Ontario is seeking an Intermediate Clerk I to manage accounts payable and receivable functions. The role involves processing invoices, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing clerical support. This full-time position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. The successful candidate will participate in the OMERS Pension Plan and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Accounting and Purchasing, the Intermediate Clerk I will be responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving and organizing invoices, processing payments in JD Edwards by the required dates, and ensuring compliance with board policies, procedures, and tax regulations. Additional responsibilities include responding to inquiries, resolving issues related to orders and shipments, managing record retention, updating vendor addresses in JD Edwards, preparing monthly journal entries, and providing coverage for the Mailroom, Print Shop, and Switchboard/Reception. This role requires working under tight deadlines.

Daily – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 35 hours weekly, 12-month position
$24.85 - $29.04 per hour
