Job description

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Graphic Designer supports all marketing efforts through the design of forward thinking, creative graphic elements that maintains the, Ottawa 67’s and TD Place events as innovative brands across both traditional and interactive mediums. The mediums include brand campaign assets, ticket sales material, print, OOH, in-stadium signage, direct mail, digital content, logos, etc. The Graphic Designer must be a team player who can balance creativity and tight deadlines in our fast-paced environment. Hard work, a positive attitude and dedication are essential to this position.

What you’ll do:

  • Design marketing materials as assigned by the Head of Marketing including but not limited to: design templates, social posts, online & print advertisements, gameday stats and information, team and player milestones, video graphics, banners & wall wraps, and downloadable content;
  • Work closely with the Brand & Content, Digital Marketing, and other OSEG teams as an efficient, high output resource for content development;
  • Assist in creating a consistent voice and style representing the Ottawa 67’s and TD Place;
  • Manage projects from initial creative brief to finished output while communicating status to all stakeholders effectively;
  • Maintain a firm grasp on design trends as well as emerging media;
  • Support the Brand & Content team on gameday creating social graphics and motion graphics;
  • Utilize a set of fine art skills to bring unique, custom designs to life;
  • Work with external partner and promoter brands to align their creative requests with our internal brand guidelines;
  • Contribute to the overall creativity of the organization by pushing the brand in new directions, brainstorming new ideas/applications and playing an active role within the Brand & Content team.

What’s Needed:

  • Completion of post secondary degree or diploma in graphic design, or a related field;
  • 0-2 years of graphic design experience preferably from a design or advertising agency, or sports and entertainment entity;
  • Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects);
  • Strong visual design skills, including typography and visual hierarchy;
  • Knowledge of print production and the pre-press process;
  • Familiarity with social media and digital user experience design;
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy;
  • Well organized with the ability to maintain multiple projects under tight deadlines;
  • A passion for art, design and sports;
  • Bilingualism in English an French is considered an asset.
