Role Overview

As a Graphic Designer at Financial Horizons, you oversee the strategic planning and creation of a variety of digital and print content across the company. Success in this role depends on your passion for creative projects, staying current with design trends and technology, and your keen eye for detail and quality.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and execute digital and print designs from start to finish, collaborating with stakeholders.
  2. Ensure all designs adhere to brand standards.
  3. Support marketing communications including social media, digital ads, websites, videos, brochures, magazines, posters, banners, signage, presentations, trade show graphics, and branding.
  4. Assist in designing and producing professional presentations using PowerPoint.
  5. Proofread and perform quality assurance on design outputs.
  6. Communicate with departments to understand their design needs.
  7. Stay updated on design and industry trends to ensure relevance.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues and external vendors to complete projects.
  9. Contribute to developing in-house capabilities, such as creating design assets and updating templates.
  10. Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience.
  2. Post-secondary education in graphic design.
  3. A portfolio demonstrating strong design principles, brand adherence, and creative execution.
  4. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); familiarity with XD/Figma, Premiere Pro, After Effects is a plus.
  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint.
  6. Experience in print production and digital accessibility standards.
  7. Ability to set up and manage design files collaboratively.
  8. Experience in financial services or insurance industry is an asset.
  9. Attention to detail, time management, interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, proactivity, strategic thinking, and adaptability.
