An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Unit Service Technician to provide essential care and services to patients in a fast-paced emergency department. This role involves performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and various secretarial tasks while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, relevant certifications, and strong communication skills. Emergency Department. Full Time 36 hours Nights rotation - (3) 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
The Unit Service Technician provides a broad range of care and services to patients, including but not limited to EKG, phlebotomy, equipment cleaning, and stocking of rooms under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Performs secretarial duties such as organizing paperwork, answering phones, paging, and receiving Emergency Department patients into the medi-tech computer system. Ensures safe and accurate transportation of patients throughout the hospital. Performs 1:1 sitting when necessary. Supports the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practices.
