Job Description

As part of the unit-based team, this position provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include clinical care, overseeing patients and families in the ED waiting area, assisting with patient arrivals, supporting triage RN in identifying medical necessity, and providing information to patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing; Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
  • Exceptional people skills and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize, and function in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Certification/License
  • National Registered Paramedic (NRP) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
  • Proof of current completion of 2 semesters in an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
  • Basic Lifesaving Certification from the American Heart Association.
Salary Range

$33.38 - $41.39 USD Hourly

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This role involves medium work, requiring standing most of the shift, lifting up to 35 lbs frequently, and involving sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting. (Physical Requirements - United States of America)
