We’re looking for a thoughtful and detail-oriented eCommerce Strategist to join our Strategy team. This individual contributor role focuses on uncovering insights through data, supporting cross-functional teams, and helping our clients grow and optimize their businesses within the Shopify ecosystem. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in e-commerce analytics and digital strategy, eager to learn and collaborate with senior strategists, UX, Design, and Tech teams.
Responsibilities
- Execute strategic deliverables across client accounts, including qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
- Analyze web performance and behavioral data using tools such as GA4 and Shopify to uncover actionable insights.
- Support the creation of strategic recommendations within pre-built deck templates, communicating data and insights clearly to clients.
- Identify performance trends and areas for opportunity in client reporting and internal reviews.
- Collaborate with senior strategists and team leads on strategic planning efforts.
- Participate in customer research initiatives such as surveys, interviews, user testing, and persona development.
- Contribute to roadmap planning and prioritization exercises with data-backed insights.
- Support ad hoc initiatives like competitive audits, CRO analyses, and site experience evaluations.
- Occasionally assist with light UX activities such as wireframing or providing feedback in Figma.
- Build trusted relationships with clients by serving as a strategic partner, translating insights into meaningful recommendations that drive growth.
Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or digital strategy.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Shopify data reporting.
- Experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, with the ability to distill insights into clear takeaways.
- Strong communication skills using tools like Google Slides or PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across functions with strategists, designers, and developers.
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of customer journey mapping, conversion funnels, or ecommerce best practices.
- Self-motivated with a desire to grow strategic skills and contribute to client success.
NICE TO HAVE
- Basic understanding of SEO principles or prior SEO analysis experience.
- Knowledge of data architecture and engineering concepts, including GA4 & GTM setup, auditing, troubleshooting; experience with BigQuery, SQL, or Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with UX tools such as Figma, Maze, or Hotjar.
- Experience with CRO or A/B testing tools and methodologies.
