Job summary

SLR Canada is seeking a full-time Project Manager to be based at one of our BC offices (Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Kamloops, Smithers, or Prince George). You will lead multidisciplinary environmental projects, oversee budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client relationships across western and northern Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ecology, biology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or related field.
• 5 to 10+ years of relevant consulting experience, with a focus on resource development in western and northern Canada.
• Strong working knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.
• Proven project management experience, including scope, budget, schedule, and team coordination.
• PMI® – PMP designation is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License in British Columbia (or equivalent) with a clean driving record, and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex and multidisciplinary environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance projects for clients in mining, energy, infrastructure, and other sectors.
• Manage project teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and schedules are met.
• Plan and oversee field programs with a focus on health and safety and technical quality; occasional fieldwork may be required.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering high-quality, fit-for-purpose environmental solutions.
• Support Sector Leads in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base and project portfolio in western and northern Canada.
• Contribute technical expertise to support regulatory applications, including provincial and federal environmental assessments and permitting processes.
