Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) is seeking a full‑time Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary environmental projects from our BC offices (Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Kamloops, Smithers, or Prince George).

You will oversee RFP responses, budgets, work plans, client relationships, data reviews, reporting, invoicing, and project closure, with potential involvement in business development across western and northern Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ecology, biology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is considered an asset.
• 5 to 10+ years of relevant consulting experience, with a focus on resource development in western and northern Canada.
• Strong working knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.
• Proven project management experience, including scope, budget, schedule, and team coordination.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and client relationship skills.
• Environmental field skills (e.g., water quality, hydrogeology, fisheries).
• PMI PMP designation an asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License in British Columbia and ability to travel to project sites.

• Manage project teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and schedules are met.
• Plan and oversee field programs with a focus on health and safety and technical quality; occasional fieldwork may be required.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering high‑quality, fit‑for‑purpose environmental solutions.
• Support Sector Leads in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base and project portfolio in western and northern Canada.
• Contribute technical expertise to support regulatory applications, including provincial and federal environmental assessments and permitting processes.

Role: SLR Canada is looking for a full‑time Project Manager to be based out of one of our BC offices (Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Kamloops, Smithers, or Prince George)

In the role of Project Manager, you will be involved in the full life cycle of projects including responding to RFPs, preparing proposals and budgets, scoping work plans, coordinating and executing projects, managing budgets, client support and communication, data analysis and reviews, reporting, invoicing and project closure. You may also support business development initiatives, leveraging your influence and networks to help strategically grow our operations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive total compensation package including comprehensive benefits, vacation, and a suite of wellness initiatives.
• The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000.
• Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
