Salary: $40.18 - $56.79 per hour, in accordance with the Ontario Nurses' Association Contract (ONA). USD / Year

Start Date: To Be Determined

Terms: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Position Summary

Working in multiple Public Health programs including vaccine preventable diseases and other public health initiatives that protect and promote health. As part of a local and regional team, contributing to the successful implementation of NWHU’s strategic plan. Collaborating with community members and partners to plan, implement, and evaluate Public Health programs.

Qualifications
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing, or eligibility to register within the Province
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, BScN
  • Current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
  • Knowledge of adult and child education principles, social determinants of health, and population health promotion (asset)
  • Certification in Infection Control (asset)
Other Requirements
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a Health Canada approved vaccine, unless medically exempt or under the Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Access to transportation; mileage allowance provided
  • Successful candidate must pass a Criminal Reference Check prior to starting
