Overview

CAES Mission Systems, Lansdale, PA, is seeking an entry-level Materials Analyst I to support procurement by purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and commodities for delivery at specified times and locations. Responsibilities include data entry, creating charts/graphs, negotiating pricing and contracts, obtaining materials at the lowest cost while considering quality and urgency, following up on purchase orders, and verifying deliveries.

Responsibilities
  • Weekly/Monthly KPI reporting and chart creation
  • Daily receiving and PO change reports
  • Review and enter new suppliers and manual purchase requisitions
  • Conduct RFQs and analyze for reasonable pricing and compliance with specifications
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, forwarding blueprints, specifications, and tooling to suppliers
  • Maintain NCR distributions and closeouts
  • Enter sector-level PO requests
  • Perform administrative functions as needed
  • Investigate new product and process availability occasionally
  • Expedite materials to ensure on-time delivery
  • Work independently to resolve issues, seeking supervisor assistance for complex problems
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, or Associate's with 4 years of experience, or HS Diploma with 8 years of experience
  • Entry-level position
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Eligibility under US export laws to access controlled technology, materials, software, or hardware
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Excel skills (Vlookup, pivot tables, macros)
  • 0-2 years relevant experience
  • Ability to expedite and negotiate supplier proposals
  • Experience in manufacturing, materials finance/analysis, estimating, planning
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Developing materials cost proposals
  • Knowledge of Bills of Materials
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings

Salary Range: $53,733.96 – $77,966.92 annually, variable based on location, education, and experience.
