Role Overview

The Project Manager leads, directs, and coordinates the daily management of renewable energy projects, ensuring successful delivery in terms of cost, schedule, quality, and project status. This leadership role is responsible for the overall performance of the project from initiation to completion, while adhering to company policies and industry standards. The Project Manager also plays a key role in developing future renewable energy professionals and fostering a collaborative project team environment.

This position is based in Mississauga, ON.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Provide safety leadership through the implementation of the company’s Safety Program, including monitoring safety performance of the project team and subcontractors on renewable energy sites.

• Collaborate with the Project Superintendent and team to plan, schedule, set objectives, and control activities during the construction of renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, or battery storage systems.

• Supervise and mentor project team members, providing regular feedback, training, and coaching, while ensuring timely performance evaluations.

• Manage prime contracts and subcontracts, including negotiation, awarding, and reviewing subcontractor performance.

• Oversee project budgets and financials, including invoicing and coordinating with accounting for timely payments.

• Analyze costs, identify revenue opportunities, and optimize expenditures.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on financial status, project performance, and progress for senior management.

• Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, engineers, architects, and subcontractors through effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

What We Are Looking For:

• Education in a construction-related discipline with progressive experience in project management, specifically in renewable energy or large-scale construction projects.

• Proven leadership and project management skills, with a collaborative approach to results and team development in renewable energy.

• Service and results-oriented, capable of building trust and maintaining strong relationships to ensure project success.

• Strong safety management, project execution, cost control, quality assurance, and administrative experience specific to renewable energy projects.

• Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.

• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; experience with project management software like Viewpoint is an asset.
