Job summary

Let Me Be Me Learning Foundation in Nanaimo, BC invites applications for an ECE assistant. Permanent full-time role with 30–35 hours per week; wages $21.00 per hour. Start date as soon as possible.

The position requires working in a daycare setting and collaborating with early childhood educators to support children's health, safety and development. Responsibilities include caregiving, learning activities, and documentation while complying with licensing regulations.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• Interpersonal skills to engage with children and parents.
• Able to follow licensing and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess children’s development and tailor learning plans.
• Assist infants and toddlers with daily care routines (bath, diaper, feeding).
• Maintain daycare equipment and learning materials.
• Lead storytelling, songs, and activities to promote development.
• Support early childhood educators in program delivery.
• Prepare snacks and set up classrooms for meals and rest periods.
