Type: Internal & External candidate - Full-Time (Indeterminate)

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week; (Monday through Friday); Rotating shifts 7:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., may change dependent on program and children’s needs.

Compensation: $21.43 per hour, plus Government Approved Wage Enhancement for all hours worked directly with children to fully licensed ECE Staff. Plus, a generous leave, benefits and pension package.

Program & Location: The Alex Early Care & Learning Centre – Coquitlam

Union: BC Government Employee’s Union (BCGEU) - This position requires union membership.

Additional Requisites/Assets:
• A BC Early Childhood Educator license to practice is required.
• An Infant and Toddler certificate is an asset.
• Special Needs certificate is an asset.
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, and children with complex needs is an asset.
• A valid child-oriented First Aid Certificate is required.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Covid-19 (including booster) and annual flu vaccinations are recommended.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• All positions are subject to a Criminal Records Review (Submitted by Atira).
