We are hiring a Marine and Special Suppression Manager to serve Western Canada from our Victoria, BC branch. The successful candidate will oversee sales, technical support, specialized training, and the coordination of marine and special hazard service jobs and personnel.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage sales of marine and special hazard fire systems services, including testing, inspections, addressing deficiencies, maintenance, and installations.
  2. Serve as the primary customer service liaison with local clients, authorities, and class societies.
  3. Provide technical support and training for service technicians, including assistance with coordination.
  4. Perform basic design and estimation procedures for marine-based fire suppression and detection systems.
  5. Oversee daily operations of marine or special hazards fieldwork and projects.
  6. Review and issue system reports.
  7. Coordinate with the national fire suppression design team, quality management, service division, and marine group to uphold company best practices.
Qualifications:
  1. Post-secondary education in Fire Protection Engineering & Technology or equivalent.
  2. Familiarity with OEM distributor agreements, portal access, and functionality.
  3. Working knowledge of marine fire suppression and detection systems.
  4. Strong communication skills for interacting with multiple offices, technicians, clients, and authorities.
  5. 2-5 years of experience in fire protection sales, design, or purchasing, focusing on special hazard fire suppression systems (e.g., clean agent/inert gas, CO2, water mist, foam, chemical systems).
  6. Technical understanding of fire suppression system components; OEM certification or the ability to obtain it is an asset.
  7. Understanding technician scheduling and report review processes.
  8. Expertise with compressed gas cylinders and their maintenance.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 annually
