Over the last 40 years, Gastops has built a robust business recognized worldwide for its innovative contributions to equipment health management across the aviation, energy, marine, industrial, and transportation industries. Our products and services add value throughout the lifecycle of complex critical equipment, from design to in-service operations and support. We design, manufacture, and support advanced sensing and analysis products, including online oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Production Technician will report to the Team Lead, Sensory Assembly or Team Lead, Test Manufacturing, and will be responsible for manufacturing products according to established quality standards.

What You’ll Do:
  • Solder PCB assemblies
  • Manufacture product sub-assemblies
  • Assemble sensors
  • Support in-process testing of assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Execute testing procedures on final products
  • Support mechanical assemblies
  • Perform equipment calibration and maintenance

This description is not exhaustive and may include other duties as required.

Who You Are:
  • Hands-on experience with multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator, and power supply
  • Ability to read basic electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to follow approved testing work instructions
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, Allen keys, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Proficiency in soldering and mechanical assembly
What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Automation, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical Technician/Technologist program or equivalent, with some relevant experience. Additionally, you should possess:

  • High motivation and results-oriented focus
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance and ITAR)
