We are actively seeking experienced contract Tennis Instructors for our spring and summer outdoor season and spring, summer, and fall indoor season. This position is responsible for teaching at multiple Burnaby locations such as Burnaby Lake Sports Complex East, Kensington & the Willingdon Community Centre. Duties include creating lesson plans for Pee Wee (5-8 years of age), Youth (9-13 years of age), and Adult (17+ years of age) classes, as well as contacting students about any cancellations and rescheduling classes in the event of inclement weather. Safety checks of the courts prior to lessons are mandatory. The City will provide tennis balls, class lists and a First Aid kit, but Tennis Contract Instructors must have their own teaching aids. Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills are a must.
Lessons are scheduled weekdays and weekends and can occur in the morning, afternoon or evenings. Hours of work are dependent on class registration.
Successful candidates must be Tennis Canada Certified and possess a minimum Level 1 certificate, along with First Aid Level 1 certification.
Hourly wage: $27.00/hour.
