Job description

A dynamic and growth-focused organization has partnered with Lambert Nemec Group in the recruitment of a Controller. Reporting to the senior finance executive, the successful candidate will take ownership of financial operations, ensure timely and accurate reporting, support strategic decision-making, and lead a team committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities :

1. Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team to promote efficiency and accountability.
2. Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, delivering financial insights to support strategic goals.
3. Coordinate internal reporting and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
4. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of internal financial statements and working papers for external review.
5. Analyze financial performance and recommend enhancements to improve cost controls and efficiency.
6. Contribute to systems and process improvements.
7. Provide detailed product cost and margin analysis to support operational decision-making.
8. Evaluate capital expenditures and monitor the financial impact of investment initiatives.
9. Support audits, tax filings, and ensure regulatory compliance.
10. Take on other finance-related responsibilities as required.

Requirements :

1. A Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA – CA, CMA, CGA).
2. Advanced Excel skills with strong ERP system experience.
3. Proven team leadership and coaching experience.
4. High level of accuracy, critical thinking, and analytical ability.
5. Strong communication and organizational skills.
6. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
