Position Overview

This role is responsible for supporting customer success while achieving sales and profit goals. The individual will provide exceptional B2B sales consultation, account management, customer service, and innovative solutions to differentiate Sysco in the marketplace. The focus is on managing and growing independent sales within a territory generating $4-6 million annually.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Account Planning, new business development, account growth, and retention to ensure profitable sales growth.
  2. Assess customer needs and analyze market trends to develop customer-centric products and services.
  3. Stay informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings.
  4. Leverage sales technology and resources to provide comprehensive sales consultative services.
  5. Manage credit and accounts receivable processes.
  6. Utilize PMT & Deal Manager tools to support growth and track activities.
  7. Collaborate and communicate through Salesforce CRM to promote team selling and share insights.
  8. Adhere to food safety policies, ensuring quality and legal compliance, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. At least 2 years of sales experience with demonstrated relationship-building and sales growth skills.
  2. Strong consultative selling, networking, and negotiation abilities.
  3. Business and restaurant operations knowledge to manage complex customer needs.
  4. Ability to interpret profit and loss statements, food costs, and expense ratios.
  5. Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple initiatives.
  6. Proficiency with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, for planning and forecasting.
  7. Understanding of contract compliance and analytical problem-solving skills.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  9. Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
