Embark on a rewarding career with Sobeys Inc., celebrated among Canada's Top 100 employers, where your talents contribute to our commitment to excellence and community impact.

Sobeys Inc. is a growing Canadian company. We are a market leader in grocery and pharmacy that operate under multiple banners spanning over 1,600 stores in communities across the country. Our family of over 128,000 teammates and franchise affiliates is on a mission to nurture the things that make life better—great experiences, families, communities, and our teammates.

Our national pharmacy team is proudly Canadian, with pharmacies from coast to coast in our various banners. Depending on your province, you would recognize us as Sobeys, Safeway, Thrifty Foods, Foodland, Lawtons Drugs, or FreshCo.

Ready to Make an Impact?

We are passionate about taking care of the health and well-being of individuals and families in our communities.

You'll be part of our pharmacy team committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations. We are looking for friendly, knowledgeable, and professional individuals who will make meeting the health needs of our patients their top priority.

Here's where you'll be focusing:

  1. Exceed internal and external customer expectations by building strong relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions; role model, coach, and reinforce customer service expectations daily for all staff.
  2. Execute pharmacy programs and product launches to promote patient service standards, drive sales, control labor, monitor margins, and control shrinkage.
  3. Act in the patient's best interest to implement and support patient-centered care through professional scope of practice and team delivery of company programs.
  4. Inspire a positive, patient-focused culture and experience, ensuring product availability and customer service standards while developing and monitoring business plans to meet KPIs.
  5. Actively engage in all areas of Fusion to ensure seamless patient/facility experiences and consistent pharmacy service across locations.
  6. Uphold company values, champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and foster an inclusive environment in the pharmacy.
  7. Manage staff selection, onboarding, training, development, performance management, and succession planning processes.
  8. Build and maintain strong team relationships in a supportive, motivating environment, ensuring appropriate labor balance and full scope of work for each team member.
  9. Ensure all regulatory requirements, company policies, processes, and procedures (e.g., OHS, Loss Prevention) are implemented and adhered to; train staff accordingly.

What you have to offer:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  2. Must be a Licensed Pharmacist, in good standing, in the province of responsibility.
  3. Injection and First Aid Certification.
  4. Minimum of 2 years experience as a licensed pharmacist.
  5. Kroll software experience is preferred.

We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package, which varies by role and is designed to help our teammates live better—physically, financially, and emotionally.

Our Total Rewards programs go well beyond your paycheque:

  • Competitive Benefits Package, including health and dental coverage, life insurance, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.
  • Access to Virtual Health Care Platform and Employee and Family Assistance Program.
  • A Retirement and Savings Plan to build your financial future.
  • A 10% in-store discount at participating banners and access to other discount programs.
  • Learning and Development Resources for professional growth.
  • Paid Vacation, eligible after a set number of hours/days worked.

We are committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process and will work with applicants requesting accommodations at any stage.

Pay: $40.01-$63.59 per hour
