Stress Engineer

Aviya Aerospace Systems is a leader in engineering services and solutions for mission critical Aerospace and Defense applications. Aviya provides expertise in program management, systems, software, mechanical, and hardware engineering to many of the top-tier Aerospace and Defense Contractors. Aviya has an opening for a Stress Engineer to join our engineering group in Montreal, Longueuil.

Specific Position Duties

• Responsible for the thermal and stress analyses of transmission components.
• Analyze internal components to determine their fatigue lives and to validate their structural integrity.
• Propose tests to validate the analyses and follow up on the test results.
• Execute analytical activities to solve mechanical design problems on existing engines.
• Produce engineering documents to communicate analytical results.

Qualifications for Position

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Masters’ Degree is considered an asset.
• Experience in test analysis.
• Good general understanding of mechanical concepts and of strength of materials theories.
• Possess Analytical thinking skills.
• Must be a team player that is results driven.
• Experience with CATIA, ANSYS (or other FE software), EXCEL, AVL Simulation Suite, MATLAB and Python.
• This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
