What You'll Do

Epic is searching for a Machine Learning Rendering Programmer to help drive the future of real-time and offline rendering using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques. This role requires deep expertise in modern rendering techniques as well as a strong understanding of modern machine learning algorithms and their applications in graphics.

In this role, you will
  • Develop and integrate machine learning techniques into rendering pipelines to improve visual fidelity and performance
  • Profile and optimize ML-based rendering solutions to ensure real-time performance on modern hardware
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to identify bottlenecks and design innovative AI-powered rendering solutions
What we're looking for
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
  • Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, DirectX, Metal) and shader languages (HLSL, GLSL)
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX
  • Experience optimizing ML models for real-time inference on GPUs
  • Strong proficiency in modern rendering techniques, including real-time ray tracing, post-processing, and denoising algorithms
  • Solid background in machine learning, particularly in applications related to graphics and image processing
  • Collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt your messaging to your audience
  • Experience using the latest generation of rendering programming interfaces (APIs) is a plus

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

British Columbia Base Pay Range $206,780 — $303,277 CAD
