Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Job Description

Our client is looking for a meticulous SDET to contribute to and review the creation of designs for production software. The SDET's responsibilities include both software development and testing tasks and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software.

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Responsibilities:

1. Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
2. Understanding project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
3. Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web, and building test scenarios and acceptance tests.
4. Working with deployment teams, resolving level issues for systems, coordinating on product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
5. Noting all testing actions performed in daily and weekly reports.
6. Managing the final quality on production release.

SDET Requirements:

1. TDD and BDD frameworks
2. Mobile automation
3. API Automation using Karate and Rest Assured frameworks
4. Core Java concepts are a must (OOPS, Collections, Exception handling, Listener class, flow control statements)
5. Knowledge of MongoDB
6. Knowledge of cross-browser testing and their corresponding tools
7. Good knowledge of Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit
8. Knowledge of basic Spring Boot annotations
9. Knowledge of JMeter & Jenkins
10. DB integration
11. Maven concepts
12. Extent reporting
13. SQL
14. GIT concepts
