Drake International is recruiting an experienced Coatings Foreman for an exciting opportunity with a leading industrial services provider in Alberta .

What You’ll Do :

  • Supervise sandblasters, painters, and coating technicians to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
  • Oversee spray application of industrial coatings
  • Plan, schedule, and assign work based on project requirements
  • Ensure all surface preparation and coating applications meet industry and company standards
  • Monitor worksite safety, conduct hazard assessments, and enforce safety procedures
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices and proper equipment use
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure coatings meet specifications
  • Maintain inventory of coatings, abrasives, and equipment
  • Communicate with project managers and clients regarding job progress and any challenges
  • Ensure QC requirements are met

What We’re Looking For :

  • Experience in sandblasting, spray application, and plural pump operation
  • NACE Certification required
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of sandblasting and coating techniques, equipment, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and ability to enforce safety standards
