Job description

Job Purpose

The Family Well-Being Coordinator will oversee the service delivery of the Family Well-Being services to the children, youth, and the families of Maskékosak. The Family Well-Being Coordinator will be working with parents and their children in a variety of settings; such as, in their homes, in groups, outside of the core office hours, and within the community/area. The Family Well-Being Coordinator will be responsible for increasing the skills, confidence and abilities of all family members to live their daily lives in a positive and safe way. They will be responsible to case-manage all files that have voluntary services agreements with Maskékosak newowacistwan nåtamåkéwin. The Family Well-Being Coordinator will be working closely with the Family Well-Being Supervisor/ Band Designate, program staff, counsellors, in-home support workers, and the mamowicitowin division.

Education, Experience And Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a human services field; such as, Social Work, Child & Youth Care, or Counseling would be an asset.
  • 2-5 years of work-related experience is a must.
  • Current Assist (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), Mental Health First Aid, and First Aid and CPR.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions and a demonstrated ability to work with Indigenouspeople is a must.
  • Have a clear criminal record check and child intervention check.
  • Sign the confidentiality agreement during orientation.
  • Family Well-Being Coordinator must maintain professionalism, be respectful and dependable.
  • Have good organizational and comprehension skills.
  • Work efficiently and be punctual.
  • Ensure a working relationship with supervisors, co-workers and clientele.
  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Employees in this field must be able to adapt to change and be innovative with current practices and skills.
  • Must have their own transportation.

Working Conditions

The Family Well-Being Coordinator will work in office and within the community for a total of 40 hours a week. 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. May be required to work some evenings and weekends. While adhering to the Enoch Cree Nation Human Resources Policy & Procedure Manual.
