A leading company in defense technology is seeking a Specialist in Materials Management to support CP140 avionics systems. This role involves liaising with various teams to ensure aircraft maintenance and availability, requiring a technologist diploma and experience in DND avionics support.
The Specialist, Materials Management role is to provide the support necessary for maintaining CP140 avionics systems in order to meet the demands of the operational fleet.
This is done by liaising with various parts of a greater team – DND; Engineering; Supply Chain Management; Repair and Overhaul; Contracts; Integrated Logistics Support; Configuration and Data Management. Ensuring the fleet and its maintainers are supplied with sufficient serviceable spare parts and components, reliable component repair and overhaul, up to date technical data and the tools needed, the LCMM aims to minimize aircraft downtime and increase aircraft availability.
System health monitoring and risk management are essential practices, and DND processes such as Corrective Maintenance Program Change (CMPC), Alternate Part Approval Form (APAF), Aircraft Inspection Change Proposal (AICP) and Aircraft Modification Approval Form (AMAF) are utilized for providing technical solutions and improvements to the aircraft platform.
