Additional Information
  1. Candidates must be members in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified prior to the start date.
  2. External candidates will need to provide at least three professional references, including full name, position, work location, and email, in the online application; references will not be contacted before interviews.
  3. Internal applicants should include all previous teaching experiences and two references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
  4. All applicants must provide a police record check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check, completed within six months prior to the start date, satisfactory to YRDSB.

We accept PVSCs from other Ontario employers within the last six months.

Referees
  • Principal/Vice-Principal who supervised you and can discuss your teaching practice.
  • Faculty or Practicum Advisor who observed your teaching.
  • Mentor Teacher in elementary/secondary settings.
  • Other professional references relevant to teaching practice.
